I am a stepwell enthusiast, and...Very interesting.

I am a stepwell enthusiast, and very keen to raise the profile and visibility of India’s wonderful stepwells. As you know, these are amazing architectural structures and yet many are neglected and threatened, partly because they are not well known.

Recently I have created a new website, www.stepwells.org, to collaboratively digitally map stepwells. The website provides pinpoint location details (something that has been lacking up to now), photos and other information on different stepwells. I am currently adding records of stepwells to build up the database. (I've put about 100 stepwells online so far).

I am struggling to find much other information online about the Vadtal stepwell, to enable me to pinpoint its location. Morna Livingston mentions this stepwell several times in her seminal book “Steps to Water”, but the only other abstract information I can find is your blog.

Are you able to send me the exact location, or any information that will help me narrow down the location search? Also, if you have any other photos of this stepwell I would be glad to see them.

Many thanks! PhilipAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15446945589649108361noreply@blogger.com
